For the past decade drummer Jeff Cosgrove has been developing his personal and interpretive style while performing in groups across diverse musical genres. Growing up in the Washington, D.C., area, Jeff was exposed to all types of music, and that’s helped him keep an open musical mind and shape his versatile style. Through his studies with master drummers Mike Shepherd, Tony Martucci, Joe Hunt, Matt Wilson and Andrew Cyrille, Jeff has been in demand as jazz drummer in New York City and made several recording with outstanding jazz performers there. Jeff performs with friends such as sax man Brad Linde, and bassist Mark Lysher, every second Thursday at Beans in the Belfry and several times a year during Jazz Brunch.
