- The Potomac is native to a wide variety of fish, including small and large-mouth bass, catfish, sun perch, wall eye, and carp.
- The river is rocky and water levels can vary. Check water level reports to ensure safe navigation.
River & Trail Outfitters
River & Trail Outfitters offers a variety of trips for your outdoor fun! For over 44 years, they’ve offered whitewater rafting, tubing, kayaking, canoeing, ziplining, biking, camping, team-building, hiking trips, and food & drink paddling tours. River trips and lessons take place in Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia on the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers and Antietam Creek.
Potomac River
Brunswick has easy water access with two boat ramps that can accommodate trailers, complete with ample parking and restroom facilities. You’ll find one in the Brunswick Family Campground and one just south of the Potomac River Highway Bridge. Bring your own equipment, or contact River & Trail Outfitters for kayak and canoe rentals or to join one of their kayak, canoe, or rafting adventures.
