SUMMARY:Roots to Rest: AcuAroma Sleep Support with Ruxandra Meinze
DESCRIPTION:Step into a more intentional approach to rest with a 75-minute\, hands-on AcuAroma Therapy workshop that brings together the therapeutic traditions of essential oils and Traditional Chinese Medicine acupressure. \nWorking with a carefully selected collection of high-quality organic essential oils\, you’ll be introduced to three specific oil and acupressure point pairings chosen to support relaxation and restorative sleep. Your facilitator will explore the therapeutic qualities of each oil\, the significance of the corresponding organ points\, and\, most importantly\, how these points relate to and work together as part of a larger practice. \nThis is both a learning experience and a moment of self-pampering. You’ll have time to slow down\, work with the oils directly\, and learn a simple ritual you can return to whenever your body and mind need help transitioning into deeper rest. \nYou’ll also leave with your own take-home collection of therapeutic oils\, along with a laminated reference card featuring images of the three acupressure points so you can confidently locate and practice them at home. The goal is not simply to experience the work in the room\, but to give you the knowledge\, tools\, and quality ingredients to make it part of your own evening ritual. \nNo prior experience is needed. Come as you are\, and leave with a deeper understanding of how aromatic medicine and acupressure can be thoughtfully combined to support your wellbeing.

SUMMARY:From Grief to Becoming: A Guided Meditation for Identity Transitions with Danielle Kean Grassi
DESCRIPTION:Healing often brings an unexpected kind of grief. As you grow\, you may notice yourself letting go of old roles\, relationships\, beliefs\, or ways of coping that once helped you survive. While this transformation can be beautiful\, it can also feel uncertain. \nThis 90-minute guided meditation is a deeply reflective\, primarily meditative experience designed to support you through that in-between space—not who you once were\, but not yet fully who you’re becoming. Through grounding practices\, breath awareness\, nervous system support\, visualization\, and gentle reflection\, you’ll be invited to notice what you’re carrying\, reconnect with your body’s wisdom\, and cultivate greater capacity for change with compassion. \nBecause everyone’s emotional experience is unique\, participants are encouraged to move at their own pace. You’re always welcome to pause\, open your eyes\, or simply observe if that feels most supportive. This offering is best suited for those navigating life transitions\, personal growth\, changing identities\, or the emotional experience of becoming someone new. \nFeel free to bring along a journal and pen for reflection. \nCan’t attend in-studio because of your schedule or distance?\nWe’d still love for you to join us online. Each session will be recorded with high quality audio and image. Choose to join live or practice with the recording. All participants (In-studio and online) will receive a recording within 24 hours of the session and have 3 weeks to enjoy the practice at home on your own time.

SUMMARY:YOUR Body in Yoga : A Functional Anatomy Weekend with Machelle Lee
DESCRIPTION:Harshly judging one’s range of motion is one of the greatest sources of unnecessary suffering in many people’s yoga practice. The poses in yoga are intended to be a method to move the regenerative and healing life force. To do that effectively in yoga\, we must understand each of our own (or our students) unique structures and explore when we can move more deeply into a posture or when to acknowledge limitations with respect. \nAlthough some restrictions in range of motion are related to tight muscles\, and more are related to contracted fascia and ligaments\, many significant limitations are actually due to variations in bone shapes and joint orientations that can differ dramatically from one person to the next. Understanding YOUR yoga anatomy is best learned through direct hands-on experience – testing your bones/joints and witnessing them curiously and compassionately to the bones of others. \nThis functional\, comparative anatomy workshop explores the 14 major joint segments of the body that account for most of our yoga postures. For each joint intersection\, we will perform bone analysis and range of motion tests on ourselves\, compare with each other\, and demonstrate how each varying joints will express itself in specific yoga postures. \n12 CEUs Available for Yoga Teachers with Yoga Alliance \nAnatomy is a vast subject\, but this interactive workshop reveals the basics in a way that clarifies and simplifies the yoga practice – putting the attention back where it belongs – how the key action of each pose makes you FEEL and moves the life force. In this workshop\, participants often experience an “ah-ha” moment about their body and their practice\, which can be powerfully liberating and self-accepting. \nThis workshop is ideal for all yoga practitioners\, whether one is a beginner or experienced student wishing to deepen their knowledge of their body in practice and for yoga teachers looking to expand their teaching and cueing. \nThis event is a training held over two days (Saturday\, November 14th and Sunday\, November 15th from 1:00-7:00pm each day).

SUMMARY:Yin Yoga and Acupuncture Workshop: The Gifts of Autumn and the Metal Element with Machelle Lee and Dr. Sam Francis
DESCRIPTION:As we settle into autumn\, nature invites us into a season of contraction\, refinement\, and reevaluation. In Chinese medicine\, autumn is associated with the Metal element\, Lung\, and Large Intestine – a time to breathe more deeply\, release what no longer needs to be carried\, and make room for what is most meaningful and precious. \nLed by Machelle Lee\, founder of Roots & River Yoga\, and Dr. Sam Francis\, owner of Five Dances Wellness\, this workshop explores the physical\, psychological\, and spiritual qualities of autumn through Yin Yoga\, Chinese medicine\, and acupuncture. \nThe afternoon begins with a full Yin Yoga practice focused on the Lung and Large Intestine organs and meridians preparing you for Fall. Following\, you will be guided into a supported resting pose and Dr. Sam will offer acupuncture to the ears and hands to support the energetic qualities of the season and encourage balance in body and mind.

SUMMARY:Full Moon Gathering: Mindful Practices and Community Connection with Sabrina Remsburg
DESCRIPTION:This November Full Beaver Supermoon rises with a steady\, grounding energy\, symbolizing resilience\, creation\, and laying strong foundations for the future. Traditionally linked to a time of building and preparing for winter’s stillness\, it reflects a period of securing what matters most and reinforcing both inner and outer stability. Spiritually\, it encourages you to nurture your sense of home\, protect your energy\, and commit to the structures that support your growth. Beneath its luminous glow\, we’re reminded to tend to what sustains us\, release instability\, and move forward with quiet strength and purpose. \nOur Full Moon Gatherings offer a supportive space to connect in community\, move gently\, and settle into meditation while clarifying intentions for the next lunar cycle. Through accessible practices such as Extra Gentle and Restorative Yoga\, a deeply immersive sound bath\, and other rituals\, we honor the full moon as a time of release\, clarity\, and renewal – celebrating our own fullness while opening to the wisdom of what is yet to unfold. \nNo previous yoga experience required.
