Chef’s Choice Night

SAT. FEBRUARY 24, 2018, 6PM-9PM

The Taste of Brunswick is a progressive dining event featuring unique dishes not found on the restaurants’ everyday menus!

First Stop (Opening Reception)

The evening begins at the Brunswick Heritage Museum for hors d’oeuvres featuring homemade breads from A Better Choice Bakery, wine, and locally-brewed beer.

Second Stop (Appetizer & Main Courses)

Beans in the Belfry Café

This elegant, Continental feast begins with Roasted Chestnut Soup made with local & Italian chestnuts simmered with spices in a vegetable broth & topped with a dollop of whipped cream & fresh chives. The main course is a tender Pork Loin stuffed with apricots, apples, cranberries & prunes sautéed in brown sugar, spices, sage & rosemary, and roasted with sweet onions & carrots, served alongside mashed butter potatoes.

King’s Pizza & Italian Restaurant

A robust family-style meal that celebrates the chef’s El Salvadoran heritage and his Italian specialties, featuring Tamales, Pupusas, Garden Salad, Baked Ziti, Chicken Parmesan, and Penne with Sausage, Tomatoes, Onions & Peppers served with crusty garlic bread.

Potomac Street Grill

This treasure trove of Middle Eastern dishes begins with a Mezze sampler (Spinach, Meat & Cheese Pies, Falafel, Kebbe & Stuffed Grape Leaves), followed by a main course of your choice of Makloubeh (layers of baked chicken, grilled eggplant, and fragrant basmati rice) OR Kafta Bandura (tender meatballs stewed in fragrant tomato sauce & served over rice), accompanied by Fattoush (parsley, romaine lettuce, onions & tomatoes in a lemon vinaigrette) & tangy Tzatziki (cucumber-garlic yogurt sauce).


Third Stop (Dessert)

Beans in the Belfry Café

Pianist Peter Roebuck entertains while you enjoy decadent custard bread pudding baked golden with wild blueberries, golden raisins & a dusting of freshly ground cinnamon with fresh-brewed coffee or Mighty Leaf tea.

OR

Smoketown Brewing Station

Pair your choice of any Signature or Limited-Release half-pint beer along with the fresh-baked goodness of a Brown Sugar Blueberry or Dark Chocolate with Caramel Buttercream & Coconut cupcake from The Farmer’s Daughter Bake Shop. (Hint: Stouts go great with chocolate!)
