After-Market Music
2023 Season
May 12th & 26th, June 9th & 30th, July 14th & 28th, Aug. 11th & 25th, Sept. 8th & 29th
After-Market Music started in 2021 as a way to celebrate and continue Brunswick’s long association with live music. Whether it was Patsy Cline singing at the Moose lodge or Duke Ellington performing in the fire station social hall, for decades Brunswick provided space and an audience for up-and-coming musicians spanning genres, from the old-time and bluegrass sounds native to our Blue Ridge foothills to country, big band, jazz, rockabilly, and rock.
In addition to downtown events spaces like Beans in the Belfry and Cannon’s, After-Market Music is Brunswick Main Street’s way of continuing our musical heritage and supporting working artists and musicians.
We host concerts twice a month on the second and last Fridays of May through September. Shows take place in Square Corner Park (1 E. Potomac Street, Brunswick) from 7pm-8:30pm and are FREE for anyone to attend. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own blankets, chairs, and picnics, but alcohol is prohibited. Join us for this relaxing, family-friendly highlight of summer in Brunswick.

How to Support After-Market Music
As much as we rely on volunteer help when doing our work, Brunswick Main Street believes very strongly that when it comes to musicians and other artists practicing their crafts, they deserve to be paid.
In order to pay the musicians who perform at After-Market Music (and keep the concerts free for the general public), BMS seeks out grants from county and state funding sources on an annual basis. However, grant awards are not guaranteed, so we also rely on donations from arts supporters to help keep some money in our musician fund. We would be delighted if you would make a one-time or monthly recurring donation to keep After-Market Music thriving.
Click the button to donate, and remember to choose the second item in the drop-down box to direct your gift specifically to our free concert series. We thank you in advance!
