March First Friday "Pot of Gold Winners"
During First Friday in March the weather was balmy and the Irish spirit prevailed as downtown visitors searched for leprechauns in participating businesses. If one was lucky and discovered the leprechaun, a gold coin was the prize. Many visitors also entered a drawing for "Pots of Gold'. The drawing was held at 8PM that evening in Square Corner Park and two lucky winners were each awarded a pot containing 50 gold coins. Pictured below are the winners along with Main Street Executive Director Patrick Kay and Vicki Allgaier, Promotions Committee Chair.
February First Friday Valentine Parking Meter Decorating Contest
On February 4 ,participants in Brunswick Main Street's first ever parking meter decorating contest began the task of turning those much much maligned steel coin eaters into objects of beauty and interest.
Twenty eight meters were festively decorated in either a Spirit of Valentine or Spirit of Brunswick theme. Pictured below are
the First Place winners from both categories.
Spirit of Brunswick, "Girl Scout" Girl Scout Troop 81410
Spirit of Valentine's, "Kissing Booth" Steven & Elinn Allgaier & Family
